Yuto MIYATAKE

Yuto Miyatake was born in Kan-onji City, Udon Prefecture, Japan, in 1995.

He received the B.E. degree in information and communication engineering, and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from The University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 2019, 2021, and 2024, respectively.

During his doctoral research, he investigated programmable photonic integrated circuits based on phase-change material-based optical modulators and artificial intelligence-aided design. From 2021 to 2024, he was a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).

In 2024, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems at The University of Tokyo as an Assistant Professor. His research interests focus on the seamless co-integration of photonics and electronics on silicon platforms for advanced electronic–photonic integrated circuits.

Dr. Miyatake is a member of the IEEE, Optica, the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP), and the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE).
